Should I wait? (Mazdaspeed 3)
Okay, here is the situation. I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier truck and I'm itching to get a car...actually have been itching since November. I like the Mazda3 and could pay cash for a new one right now. (Let the dealers know that you have no trade, need no financing and are paying cash and they will quote you invoice pricing without any haggling )
My question is, should I wait for the 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 to come out? By that time (8 months) I can save at least another $4200 toward the vehicle. Or should I just buy now. I guess another alternative is to wait until the fall and pick up a fresh off of lease 2004 Mazda3.
Hmmm...decisions, decisions. What would you do in my spot?
(Note: I don't need a car and my 2002 Nissan Frontier has plenty of life left in it (only 19,000 miles) and is paid off. I plan on keeping the truck as it comes in handy when you own a house).

save your cash and drive the truck. Don't buy the MS3 when it first comes out...give it 4 months or so and youl'll score one DIRT CHEAP....apply your savings to that lower price and you'll probably get a $24K MS3 and have about $8K off that price by the time you pick it up. Good deal.
p.s. one thing I've learned is NEVER buy a MS product when it first comes out. They don't fly off the lots and they come down and have HUGE rebates months after...waiting a few months can save you thousands.

cool, after sleeping on it, I think I just may wait....plus I need to put vinyl siding on the house to make it look good first (cheaper than painting).
But, I'm not saying that if I ran across a 2004 Mazda 3s for $13,000 that I wouldn't buy it.
