someone just tried to break into my car or vandalize it
i just out of work and when i unlocked my car with my alarm, my alarm beeped like 4 times and that told me that my alarm went off...as i look around my car, my freakin rear driver side small triangle window was shattered with a hole about 1.5 inches around...i was like ****!!!...someone either just tried to break into my car and take **** or someone just wanted to vandalize my car....both of which is ****** wrong...anyways i just wanted to vent my frustration and thanks for reading...it just sucks that people just cant have nice cars anymore...and people would do such a thing...

and be thankful that you had the alarm...and they ran off....a piece of glass is pretty cheap to replace compared to the damage they could have done had they gotten into the car.....or taken the whole thing..

Same **** happened to me at school the other day. I get to my car and it beeped 4 times, but nothing was missing so I figured that someone just bumped into it. I was driving later on at night and when I put my fogs on I noticed only 1 was lit. I get out to check it out and one was twisted around and the paint was messed up around it as someone tried to take them off and cracked the glass on the front of one. But luckily my alarm scared them away. On an off note, anyone know where I can get a replacement shield for my fogs, they are aftermarket little round ones, I need a clear shield, no amber or any of that. Thanks.

If they hit the little triangle, they were trying to break in.
Theives will always shatter this window, because it is small and makes the least noise and mess. Vandals would hit your windshield or back glass most likely.
What I just relaized it that the "door lock mod" I did (where I cut about 1/2" or so off of the rod for the lock button) makes it nearly impossible to break in. I did this so the lock fits flush with the door panel when closed, mostly so my elbow doesn't hit it while driving. But I did all four doors, so there is the added benefit that the locks are very difficult to pull up by hand. Plus, we only have the electric button on the driver's door, so busting the little triangle is useless, and they'll rarely hit a full-sized window.
This is what alarms are for - to scare the ******* away. Yours worked as it was intended to, so feel lucky that the little window was the only damage.

I just car my car messed up the other day too. I was at school during the time it happened and when I got back to my car I found that my emblem and foc lights were gone and that they also tried to take my antenna (VW Jetta style) I was like WTF??? Then again... that's what you get when you have a GT-R emblem in a Nissan populated parking lot....bleh...

Im sure you ve seen a broken widnshiled before, theres no way a theif would try and break through that
