Today at work I was picking up some brake rotors when I felt something crack in my back. I fell to the floor and couldn't get off my hands and knees. The best part was I was all by myself for 40 minutes in pain on the floor. A customer comes in and hears me yelling and comes back to bring me my nextel. A few phone calls later i'm at the ER.

I seperated the connective tissue between my ribs on my right side. It feels like I've been stabbed through the back into my lung. I'm on restrictive duty at work (sitting on a stool all day on the phone) and I can't drive (my cars are all manuals and my right side doesn't work so well).

The treatment? "Suck it up. Nothing else you can do about it." So I'm all looped up on pain pills for the next week or two.



p.s. On a funny note I got to see my xrays of when I broke my ribs on my left side and the fracture on my right ribs where I was run over with the four wheeler....anyone remember that?!?! hahaha

 

Wow that sucks a lot! I hope you make it out alright, meanwhile take it easy and enjoy being a laze *** ...

Wowsa. Glad you're ok. Had a similar incident a while back (no pun intended!) myself where I wound up stuck on the family room floor. Scary feeling to be so helpless, stuck there and unable to move. At any rate mine turned out to be some pulled muscles and took me about a week to recover. Aging sucks.

So I gather this means you'll be on the computer/forums a lot in the coming week(s)?

 

I wish, I'm still checking in regularly, just not posting 500 times a month!

 

That should give me time to ***** myself enough to catch up.
