Spike TV

I was watching spike tv today because it's sunday and all the car/truck shows are on. So i start watching a part of one where they are explaining how to put more power into your car without a real mechanic backround (I.E. bolt ons). So they start talking about a K&N filter with a cold air intake price $175 then i heard "and you'll get about 15-20 horsepower." At this point I just stopped and thought for a second, "how could they possibly tell people they will gain 20 whp from a cold air intake?

The same went on for the exaust and headers the total horsepower gain was in the 50-60's. Is this not a complete lie? I was under the impression intake/exaust and headers might give you 10-15 HP? Correct me if im wrong please.

hmmm....15 - 20 with an intake??...that dont sound rite...but then again K & N are expensive...but I seriously doubt they can make that much power...sounds to me just a bunch of B.S Advertising...

maybe at the flywheel if you have all kinds of crazy mods but still using a stock air box. then you might get 20 out of the K&N. im gonna call BS
