Stupid Drunk
Hey ppl.
I was talking to somebody yesterday and
I was telling em' that I was thinking about taking
my valve cover off to clean it up.
Well, then they tell me that if I do that I'll
have to replace a valve gasket or some more **** like
that. Is this true? Will I have to replace anything if I
do? Maybe he didn't know what the hell he was talking
about. He seemed kinda drunk. OMG. He also tried to
tell me that Mazda is an American made car!: eek: Maybe
that should of told me that he was full of ****.?

there is a gasket between the valve cover and the head.....its just a good practice to replace them once you take that joint apart....or you just MIGHT find yourself taking it apart again....if it starts to leak.

You also have to make sure to tighten thr bolts back with proper torque, or you will need another gasket. There shuold be a label under neath the hood, which will show the pattern you shuold follow to take them off and/or put them back on, and it will show the right torque as well.
