traded 4 wheels for two...
i wrecked my pro bout 2 months ago, and it ended up being totaled, so i had some cash to spend on a new ride. id wanted a sportbike for a while, and the opportunity presented itself. i picked up a '99 R6 for a good price. besides the obvious benefits of having a bike over a car (speed, a certain appeal to people ), im paying 100/month for full coverage on my bike, as opposed to 230/month on my pro. heres some pics:

sorry if the pics are too big, and if the pic of the bike is kinda crappy but you get the idea. its funny that i went from one end of the spectrum as far as performance goes, from a car that does 16-17s or so in the 1/4 to a bike that has the capability to do mid-upper 10s. im happy with it.
also, does anyone else round here have a bike as well as their pro?

i dont think that i would save up enough cash just to buy a bike, but since i had the money from the insurance company paying for my totaled car, i picked up the r6. it just all depends on whether or not you want the bike enough i guess. in my case, im likin the bike more than the pro, other than on rainy days.

congrats on your new wheels... the r6's are nice! be sure to get antoher car however. rainy days and winter are no fun. plus if you and your buddies want to make a beer run... you ain't doing it on the r6. well, ride safe and wear ALL your gear. long run, a bike will cost as much as a car b/c of maint costs. parts are more expencive and maint is required a lil more often. i did rear brakes on my old toyota for 32 bucks (shoes and drums AND big bottle of brake fluid). i spent 60 bucks on just front brake pads for my gixxer. spark plugs? 6 dollars. oil, 4 bucks a pop for dino oil, valve adjustment every 16k miles... the list goes on.
anyhows, flip and crazygoat, ride safe and enjoy them corners...
to all else... yall NEED to get bikes and take the msf course.

Yeah take the MSF course, I learned alot, you'll be surprised to know you'll even apply the stuffs you learned not only in a motorcycle but also driving cars.
