Heres my deal, i have my P5 all payed off..... now my parents are all pissy about me drivin it to school all the time (dont ask me why) so i need/want to buy another car, used. i have about 4k that i can use to buy this car.... it needs to be reliable, have decent miles left in its life (hopefully under 100k miles) look good, be decently fast.... and fun.

so far i have narrowed it down to my personal likings, consumer report likings, and what is locally available.

so basically ive decided on two cars:

1990 Toyota Celica GT: 2.2liter I-4 DOHC, 5speed, 130hp/140ftlbs, 110k miles, $3000
1990 Mazda RX-7 GTU: 1.3liter 13B Rotary, 5speed, 160hp/150ftlbs, 129k miles, $3995

now is the hard part, to decide which i want more, i really would perfer the rx7, but i dunno... the celica is a great car too.

what are you guy's and gal's opinions?

 

Rx-7 all the way. I like the celicas too but not as much as the rx-7s.

 

yeah i really want the rx7.... it will just come down to cash, and how well either feel while driving them. i dont want something that handles like crap (eehmmm eclipses) and i know the rx7 should handle great, the celica i am unsure of.

 

you've gotta get the RX-7....so much cooler, and so much more fun to drive IMO....

 

for sure! the rx7 is and has been at the top of my list! check this bad *** out, then look at my p5, these two will go together well!

oh and this is the actual rx7 i am looking at getting. (that white crap is car soap i guess, the dealer didnt finish washing before the pic was takin)




just wash them both up, polish, and put them next to eachother and oooh and ahh....lol


now to get the down payment for the loan on this car! (700 big bucks, lol)

I was just asking, cause I think its kinda whack that your parents are trippin over a car that is paid for. But I guess did you pay for it, or did your parents? I know you said not to ask, sorry I couldn't help myself, but if you paid for it I would tell them to go take a flyin **** in a rolling donut. But if they paid for it, well you can't argue too much being a minor and ****. Anyways, good luck with the car situation, I would personally go for the RX-7.

Yeah i actually did pay for it myself, saved a buncha money up before i turned 16, and then payed the rest off this year. got the full price of the car (18995 or something of that sort) payed off a month and a half ago.

The situation with my parents is, that they have seen how kids at my school treat other peoples cars, and they dont want my new baby to get all screwed up by some jack *** at school. so they want me to get another "beater" type car..... i just figured, wtf, this is a chance for me to get that rx7 ive been wanting, so im gonna get something decent, and just not worry about it. its 4k that i could use to mod my p5, but oh well.... its all good.

thanks for the compliment dude, i hate all these rich kids i know who are drivin beemers and **** and doing no work to show they deserve them. hell, right now is about the only time during the week (sundays) that i get to be lazy and relax.... other wise im either working, or doing school work.

Wow kickass dude. Yeah protect the new car from jealous dipshits at school, that wanna mess up your stuff. That'sa good idea, plus you get a bonus feature with having this second car. You can rail the **** out of it, I mean damn if you got a brand new p5 chillin at home, and this car is basically the one that's gonna get beat on at school, well hell, you might as well have some fun with it too. I mean be smart, and don't get yourself killed and ****, but you really don't have to worry too much about how you drive it. Way to go dude, mad props for your work ethic.
