what does bling bling mean?
i've come across the term a few times on this forum and kind of dismissed it as another word from vernacular jargon in which i have missed (happens a lot). i even did a search on this forum to no avail. people use it in different contexts, so i'm all confused. and today, this girl in an OZ rally lancer told me that i "would be bling blinging" it if i got my car lowered and modded with intake and exhaust. oh, and i heard it on pink's song two years ago. so yeah, what's it mean?

From the pink song, as i'm thinking it mean CASH. As for the girl, my guess would be that your ride would look sweet with what she had said.
people please correct me if i'm wrong, which i think i am... at least about the car one i think......

bling bling is like if you had some thing that cost a lot of money that is bling bling.....like if you had a movado watch or better that is bling bling if you had 18's or bigger chrome wheels on your car that is bling bling it's almost like if you are a big baller and showing off your money every thing that you have is bling bling or something like that

if those guys are "blinging," then i don't want to "bling." so was she insulting me when she said i will be "blinging?" with my eibachs, injen, and RB?
so bling bling means to show off wealth... gotcha. i'm a poor college kid, so wealth is something i don't have. perhaps i shouldn't do anything to my car or else people will think i am a showoff.
i just want to get the mods because when i go back to san jose sometime soon, my ex girlfriend wants to race me in her focus with the same mods. we will be doing this legally, of course. she has a stick, i have the autosport. i hung with her when we did light to light at 3 in the morning on an empty stretch of road behind my house. she beat me by half a car length and has been talking smack ever since. she's convinced that her focus can outcorner the protege! HA! so yeah...

"Bling Bling" is a term used to describe items that look expensive.
Some examples are listed in the images above...shiny objects such as jewelery and gold coins are considered bling bling due to the amount of light reflected from the items.
Because people can only wear so much jewelery, this term has been transposed to your vehicle. Remember the caddy's with all of the gold trim and chrome(pimp mobile's)...those were original made to show of the amount of wealth that an individual has accumulated. The glare off of the vehicle (my opinion) rims (due to the large amount of chrome) was considered "bling bling" meaning very shiny and to show off. This act is very similar to peacocks looking for mates.
So when the girl states that your vehicle would be bling bling if you added an exhaust and intake...she is actually using the phrasing incorrectly. "Bling Bling" is associate in most cases, on the size and amount of chrome exposed on the surface of the rims of the vehicle. Remember the expensive stuff must show to be considered bling bling...

just watch ANY hot boyz or no limit video, and you'll see bling bling! can anyone tell me what's the purpose of having $40,000 worth of platinum teeth in your mouth? or how about having 22" rims on an ATV?! come down here to new orleans, and you'll see firsthand how some people try to act like they do in those videos!

Those pictures are hilarious! I especially laughed when I noticed that the boy with no shirt is constantly crossing his arms or squeezing his shoulders together to make it seem like he actually has pectoral muscles. Who is he kidding? I've never seen someone look so uncomfortable when crossing their arms.
Funny pics.
