A quick question. What is it?

My friend here was telling me that it's a sedan. I was like "WHAT?! that ain't no sedan, it's a freaking wagon or hatchback"

 

The Matrix, along with the Pontiac Vibe, and the Pontiac Aztek are known as "Crossover" vehicles. Not quite a car, not quite a van, not quite an SUV... You get he idea. A new genre of these "cars" has been spawned, and it will be a long time until it fades out. Word is many more car manufaturers will be jumping on the bandwagon next year...

I personally think the Matrix is too tall for my taste, and the Vibe looks too stubby... As for the Aztek, well... Need I say more?

The Vibe is supposed to be released as the "sport" version(waggovan?) and an "SUV" version(vannotruck?).I don"t know when or if they are going to do this but that was the original idea.
GM must like the cross over Idea because they now have a concept vehicle that is a fuel cell over which you can pick your body style(same chassis different body) I hope that I am dead by the time they get this idea into production. It signals an end to Individuality in the automotive industry.I don't want to choose the damn red or green or blue box in big or small size!!!!!

Lets not forget that the Vibe is the Matrix...the Vibe is made by Toyota for Pontiac look at them both and you will see it clearly.

 

The Matrixs are decent looking and If it was lowered with some 18" it looks good. Sport Compact Car did this along with adding a turbo to their matrix. It was red with Gold (or bronze) Volk TE37s. Looked awesome....
