When Will Winter End???

I'm sick of this ****.

April 7, and it's snowing like hell outside. They are predicting something between 6 and 12 inches. Thanks for the accurate forecast, too - *******.

IT'S APRIL!! I should be getting ready for golf season, getting the fishing gear together, waxing the car... - instead, I'm looking a winter-*******-wonderland.

Goddamn it.

It's pissy here is Saskatchewan as well....last week, no snow, almost all dry and perfect for some outdoor soccer. Two friggin days later and we have a three day 12in snowstorm. It will take a bloody month to melt all this crap away. Cripe, and I wanted to kick the ball around.

Yep, here too. I was just pissing and moaning all day because it's snowing out (I even washed my car yesterday!). Fortunately, last time I looked it wasn't sticking to the ground very well.

I'm getting really psyched for this years golf season, I was even watching golf infomercials yesterday! hehehe I think I need one of those 'perfect clubs' hahhaaha...

I am sorry to say that this is all my fault (at least for NY people)... I took the snow tires off the car last week... and what do we get? an ice storm (180,000 homes w/o power) this past weekend and now snow?!?... this sucks! Add to that my POS crappy weather car died this last friday and that I am back on the stock P5000s that came with the car... it is going to be a fun few days

I'm so tired of it. We had a golf tournament cancelled for today. I want to play. I want to practice. THIS SUCKS!!!

The perfect-club is actually a pretty good club. However, I would not be caught dead with it in my bag.

Here's a tip I got on curing a slice - it's not "legal", and your friends will rip you for it. I haven't done it yet - but I'm dying to try it, as I have a WICKED slice to my driver:

Put a thin coat of vaseline on the face of the club. This will all but eliminate the spin the ball gets from the face of the club, effectively reducing a slice to almost nothing. You might lose some overall distance versus a good swing, but hitting it straight is always farther than going twice as far into the next fairway .

How's that for help?

HAHAHA!!!! Here's some advice for YOU... Any advice you have involving Vaseline, you should keep to yourself! hehehe....

I just can't hit my drivers period. I'm thinking of getting new clubs, I got this set for free, and I think I paid too much. They're a kmart special, I wasn't very happy with them.... Using other peoples drivers I can crush the ball. My best round so far is a 109, I was hella-happy that day, I still have the scorecard hanging up at my desk Last year was my first season, I'm hoping to break 100 this year.

That's been my goal for several seasons now! .

We have a FANTASTIC 18 hole pitch & putt course locally. Holes are between 60 and 110 yards - all par 3 (except the 110 yard, it's a par "4" - basically gift birdie ) - all you need is a wedge and putter. Down by the beach too - it's a great place to play, and costs $9 for all 18 holes. Rocks!

Helped my short game dramatically - my best score is a 2-over par 57. I consistently score in the low 60s / high 50s. And yes - last year I got a hole-in-one. "Doing the bulldance - feeling the flow" (Happy Gilmore reference, for those not in the know )

I still can't drive the long ball straight though. Hopefully the short game progress will help me break 100 this year - if it ever stops ******* snowing!!!

That sounds like a lot of fun! A course near my house (about 10 mile) has two full courses, as well as a 9 hole par 3 course. The par 3 is great fun, playing a bit long... Most holes are around 120-160, there is one hole that is about 320 (it's a par 4). It's a great time, I love playing on that course. $6 and you can play as many rounds as you want

I was in Pearl River this morning man, 7am - I fucked up my hand while working (yah - there's another thread about that - see "the bit that bit me"), so I decided not to go to my second job in New City.

The only good thing about drilling into my palm today - I got to beat the weather home.

Looks like it's your turn to shovel. The north wind was too cold up here that you guys got all the snow. Although we still have some to get rid of we hadn't received any in 2 weeks, that's like a record. Can't wait to get out the bike and put the mags back on. I have to agree with you guys, I'm sick of winter.
