Why are people dicks these days?

My girlfriend went to an amusement part with me today and she got her bag and its contents stolen, when she left it at the platform, as others when they went on the ride. After the ride the bag was missing, so she got all worried since inside was around $100 cash, various cards and a $700 digital cam she bought in February. She saved up to buy the camera over one year working as a fast food stand. I understand her pain real well.

I reported to the amusepart park staff which was useless as they filed a report which probably would be put in some seldom opened cabinet. Like wtf was that supposed to achieve? And the guy was retarded too. I told them to check survilance cameras, and tell them to keep an eye on the entrance and the exit of the ride knowing the thief would dispose on the bag after raiding its contents. He gave me all this talk saying they're sorry. Well, sorry won't get back my girlfriend's stuff. Ok, so I reported to the police, and they said the same things saying amongst other law bullshit treating me like a freckin boy, while I know more than all 3 police there combined.

The bag was later found by some boys that also got their stuff stolen. Very kind of them. The credit card were still there as well as driver's license etc. However the $700 digi cam was gone as well the cash and "lucky money" in red pockets.

WTF is with people these days? They steal people's things and take it as their own. I mean being poor is a ******* lame *** excuse for stealing someone things when they may be even poorer than you. I

'm poor, I don't have much money to spend either but at least I have more dignity to steal from someone because I'm human, and I know it's the RIGHT thing to do. The other time I discovered $300 cash at an ATM which someone apparently forget to take after the withdrawal. Instead of taking it to mod my car, I returned it with the teller, along with the transaction slip. A guy claimed it, didn't even thank me but I'm happy since I know I did what was right, so I don't get punished and rot in ******* hell.

I hope the guy who stole my gf's stuff dies painfully and rots in ******* hell. I know it isn't right to curse like that, but I'm just too angry. And if I notice someone stealing from me, I will personally incapticipate their hands, so they won't do it again.

I dunno anything bout your little story cause it was too long for me to read... but I can tell ya why people are dicks. It's cause they know they are fucked up people... and having nothing else better to do than to do for themselves and take advantage of good people.

If I could just have 5 minutes with a theif...man would I f* him up. Last June I bought a brand new $600 Kenwood CD player for my 240sx, and three days later (the same day I was going to get my alarm installed), it was stolen. Smashed in the window, unlocked the door, and professionally removed it. They even left some of the bracket and screws, how nice of them It was on a Sunday morning, too!

People will eventually learn their lessons.

A few buddies and I got on a train a while back (like 10 years ago).

As we sat down, my friend realized there was a knapsack under his seat. Of course, he goes through it, and finds a CD walkman in there. He puts it in his coat pocket. As he was rifling through the rest of the bag, the owner of the knapsack gets back on the train - obviously looking for his belongings.

He comes over to my buddy, and says "you find a bag here?" My friend acts like he has no idea, then "looks" under the seat and "finds" the bag. The guy opens it, sees his CD player gone, and starts asking my friend where it is. My buddy has a horribly guilty look on his face, so the owner knew he had it. My friend continues to deny responsibility, but the guy presses him until he finally gives in, reaches in his coat pocket, and gives the CD player back.

The guy was furious, of course, and my friend felt like the biggest shitbag on the planet. This guy missed his stop, and had to go through all this bullshit. He gave my buddy a load of **** for it - and my friend looked him right in the eye and told him "I deserve a smack in thr mouth - and if you think that's what you want to do, I'm not gonna hit you back. You've got every right to kick my *** right now."

The guy didn't, and my friend never forgot the incident. Truly, this is a really good guy who made a dumbass mistake. I know he learned a lesson from the sheer feeling of stupidity and embarrassment alone.

I don't trust anyone. NEVER leave expensive things in the open, even for a short time. People have their laptops stolen every day at my college in the library.
