yeah. commuting is a big thing. She's scared to death to drive in ATL traffic because you guys are morons on the highway.
I was in the speed6 doing 95mph and getting passed. The speed limit was 55mph I believe.
We're still trying to find the right area to live in first. I'm one of those people where I'd rather make less money and have 0 commute. So I'd like to find some land that I could possibly build commercial on as well that's nt more than an hour away from downtown.

Congrats to your wife!!! That is one helluva accomplishment!!
$185,000!!!! Time to move south. We bought our 1200sf ranch [with a 1200sf basement (that you can't pull a car into)], one car garage, nice size shed and playhouse on .27 acres for $207,000. I bet her taxes are lower than mine too. God bless the NE......lol
my brother-in-law's wife's mom gets to carry a gun (correctional officer)
want me to check around for land in my local area, thats not covered by cows/chicken houses? - I do know where a SWEET house is w/ 10 acres.. but.. umm its $300,000. Also know some land they are splitting up towards Athens, but i think the minimum is 20 acres. I also know that my wife's aunt was selling their house 3000(?) sqft house w/ a basement(can pull a car into it) and a shop and several acres of land $185000 (i *think* they are still selling...)
ok, i'm tired of typing.
EDIT: aunt's house is like 6 miles or so from I-85

living in the south is dirt cheap. Of course pay is a lot lower here as well.
The town I live in is a great example. I used to make $34k/yr and I lived like a king. 2 new cars, new home, 1 acre of land, all the toys I could want. If I were to move to ATL I'd need to make double that to be as comfortable.

Ya, I realize the money made is relevant but a 3,000sf house up here is easily $350,000 and that is with a 1/4 acre...if you are lucky.
Best scenario is my dad....retired govt (full pension) + young enough to still work (doing what he wants) and his property taxes are less than my homeowners insurance. He's not too far from you either....he has been living in Prattville since 1994.

yeah, prattville land is real cheap as well. The south has a lot of acreage that isn't close to being developed yet. There's a ton of land for sale here for a lot less than in upper NY!

Congrats to your wife. Fraud cases are very indepth. Lots of detail go into them. A single fraud case can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months to build. Not my favorite case to handle.
If she likes to write, ( I imagine she does after 8 years of school) she will love that line of work.
