Wisconsin= Worst state EVER!

I was cruising up to the Dells on sunday with my wife for our 1st anniversary. Speed limit 65 on highway 90. I was being EXTREMELY cautious with my speed all day cuz I knew #1) Wisconsin police are not cops (I have a great deal of respect for MOST police), they're F**KING PIGS, and #2) they'd be out in droves. So I'm doing about 72 in the right lane, slightly faster than the semi in front of me, so I go to pass him. As I began to make my lane change, the semi hits his brakes. At the same time, the minivan in the left lane (which was ending) suddenly began to merge into me. I could not go back to the right or I would hit the semi, I could not hit the brakes because the was a pickup that had sped up behind me, so to avoid a collision I sped up. Then the radar detector goes off...

"I clocked you at 85 in a 65. Was there a reason for your speed?"
So I explained the whole story to him.
"Ok, just a minute"
5 minutes later, he comes back with my 1st speeding ticket in 7 years (as far as my record is concerned, I don't have any). $225!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why the hell did he even bother to ask my story if he didn't give a ****? F**KING PIG! Next time, I'll just cause a multiple car collision... apparently that would've been the right thing to do.

I feel for you, man. I hate Wisconsin state troopers, too. There are good cops, there are bad cops, and then there are cheesehead state troopers--a class all their own.

What I don't understand is with the Dells, you'd think Wisconsin would be trying to encourage tourism from Minnesota and Illinois. Clearly, though, the state troopers have decided that it's their job to try to keep as many people away from Wisconsin as possible...

I think thats the way they are, them pigs. I am from Maine, and we have tons of construction going on, widening highway, and since the tourist season began, I have seen many out of state cars pulled over, and I feel for them, cuz fines doubled, and the speed limit is 50! But as for cops tagging out of state cars, it is true. A friend of mine, started his own limo business, so he would have customers from Boston, Mass. all the time. And in Mass, there might as well be no speed limit. They will only get you if you are going 90 or something. Anyhow, he was going along with traffic around 80, and out of all cars he got pulled over, because he was from out of state. About Wisconsin, though. Isn't ironic that in Dogma, Lokey and Bartlebe, escape from there? Hehehe

You got to look at things from there point of veiw. They have a job to do. If your speeding then it is there job to give you a ticket. I have gotton 2 tickets in the last 6 monthes. I deserve both of them , I was doing 20 over in both cases. One was an *** and one was cool. Either way you have to realize they put up with a great deal of **** from people.

I realize they have a job to do. However, speeding tickets are wrong, especially when there is a good excuse... i.e. avoiding a rather large accident. Just because something is your job doesn't make it right. Terrorists are just doing their jobs- does that make it right? If I were just out speeding for the pure joy of it and endangering other people lives, then I wouldn't bitch about being ticketed. However, this case was the EXACT opposite and I explained that to him in a calm, courteous manner and he still CHOSE to ticket me. That makes him a DICK of the highest order.

comparing a cop to a terrist is just wrong. If you were going the speed limit and stayed behind the semi then you would not of had to speed up in the first place. That would be the cops point of view. And how many stories a day do you think they hear . I wasn't there so I don't know all the details that you do but hey he was doing his job.
I just think that police deserve alot more respect then people give them. They deal with the scum of the world with little or no thanks. They risk there lifes on a daily basis and for what, the thought that they are making there community a better place. Are there ******* cops yes, are there bad cops yes , but more the most part they deserve respect .

NoahsMP5 read his story again. he was speeding to avoid a collision. not just b/c he wanted in front of the semi.

As for the cops deserve respect. in my book no one deserves respect. that is something someone earns. im kind to people but i dont give them respect just b/c of what they do. IMO

I read the story several times. He said he was doing 72 which is faster the the speed limit which he stated 65. I am not debating the fact he might have ecaped an accident but if he was going the speed limit in the first place then he would not of been in that place in the first place. I am not saying I do not do the same thing but I will also take the blame for putting myself in that position.

Rules of the road state that under normal highway conditions, your speed should be relative to the traffic around you... go with the flow of traffic. To do otherwise will actually make you a hazard to the traffic around you. I did everything by the book so no, I will NOT "take the blame for putting myself in that position". Other drivers around me made poor decisions so I drove defensively. If it is in your nature to just cough up $225 and play bitch due to the ineptitude of others around you, then you need to learn to stand up and fight for whats right.

Also, the terrorist reference... I was just comparing people doing their "jobs". One thing had nothing to do with the other.

Look if you can't take someone elses opinion then don't post. I have my opinion and you have yours. If you want to resort to name calling and turn this into something its not then you can do it with someone else. eace:

I set my cruise to 80 every mourning and never get pulled over. Speed limit is 70 on the highway. There are always conditions out of our control. No matter how much training you have. There is a big difference between hitting someone doing 65 and 95. Like I said I don't find going going 7 miles over the speed limit exesive at all. I have been in several situations that going faster saved my *** but you still have to realize that by far following the speed limit is going to be the safest route.

Peace back at ya. Just because I retort your opinion doesn't mean I don't think you're entitled to it. Besides, I didn't call you a name. I believe I said something about 'playing bitch', I didn't say 'You are a bitch'. Just like the terrorist remark... slow down when you read & the clear meanings will come through.

I have absolutely no respect for cops, they should be in the city helping out people rather than sitting on a highway handing out tickets. I got pulled over by a pig 3 weeks ago, he goes, "Lets see what is wrong with your car" as he walks around my car. "ah, your car is too low" I go, "no its not" cause it wasnt. then he finally made his way around to my window tint, after giving me a bunch of BS about how its illegal, when I asked em some information about the ticket he goes, "I don't know much about this citation" As far as dealing with scum, state troopers don't have to deal with much. All they have to worry about is keeping up with the fast cars. Inner city cops are even worse about handing out tickets, I had one give me a ticket for a 50 in a 35 when I was going 32 because according to him, "he doesn't like imports" I know of several pot heads in my town who made it easily into being a local cop, that doesn't say much for police I have met several cops, and have gotten a few tickets that I have deserved, but I have met more worthless cops than anything. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but in the case of this story the cop was wrong, and obviously was just trying to make his quota like the rest of the pigs who hand out speeding tickets like they are nothing. Nobody deserves respect, you must earn it.
