All righty, who's staying up to watch the game???
Who are your favourites?
Since Yugoslavia didn't make it this year ........
I'll be cheering for Portugal and Cameroon.... like both of their styles of play

u guys crack me up!
Senegal played their hearts out and deserved to win.
I think Argentina is looking hard to beat. Even if some of them get injured they've got a deep bench.
Anyways i'm gonna be biased and go for all the South American teams.
p.s. i laughed my *** off when Saudi Arabia got trashed by Germany.
p.s. i think the U.S. should keep improving as the whole region including thelikes of Jamaica Costa Rica is improvig heaps....kind of like a chain reaction...plus there's heaps of hispanics there now..and most of them can play
p.s2 i was watching an ozzy game of rugby league which was played in Long Beach as an exhibition...and they interviewed this guy from the crowd and asked him how he liked it his response--"that was intense man...it made NFL look like a John Denver concert"...sorry i had to laugh at that too..

wow what a night (day?) for the Big 3
Far East Asian countries, that is. In its first ever World Cup appearance, China kept it close (ie. no scores) for 60 minutes before Costa Rica blew it open with 2 goals in 4 minutes, Japan got points for tying with Belgium, and Korea got its first ever World Cup victory against Poland. Wow what a great day for soccer in these countries.
btw I stayed up til 5AM to watch the matches, then woke up at 8:30 to go to work, and I'm not feeling tired at all, wth???

Yeah, Asian and African football has come a LONG way in the last decade. It's great for the sport as now there's at least 60 countries that have the quality to make it in the world cup every year, and there's about 10 REAL contenders that could win the cup .......
