The sides are so soft, I could probably hammer a 13mm socket on there, instead of a 14mm. Just thought I'd share

if you were hungry there are better things to chew on. 
you could drill it out. I think they have kits for getting bad
bolts out. Or grind off the head and push it out. You'll
need a new bolt anyways.

I could probably drill a hole through it... and get one of those screws that pops out at the end....and use it to pull it out...or something. I'll figure it out. Or not. I guess if not then I won't lift out the seat, and won't have a super easy time lifting out the carpet. I lifted up the carpet enough last time, but I ripped it putting in the RCA cables. And one of them is bad now

this is the kind of thing that happens with low grade bolts that are installed at the factory under ideal conditions and are tigher than they should be..... and WE, the unsuspecting ATTEMPT to take them out with a 12 point socket or a combination wrench...
do yourself a favor.....go out and buy a set of quality 6 POINT sockets for this sort of thing...you won't regret it.
but seeing as how its too late...you can TRY to hammer on a smaller socket...or use a pipe wrench....or grind the head off and get the seat out of the way then get on the stud thats left...which might just come right out seeing as how if the head is gone all the stress will be gone.

same problem in my car tryed to take them out but they all either broke off (the head) or the heads got chewed up
im still trying to figure out how i can swap seats and put bolts back into the car
im stumped maybe putting a bolt stright thro then putting a nut on it??damm seams a lil much to me

I used 6 point...it was already chewed up though
Such is life. I'll find a solution. I just wanted to vent

I FIXED my post... :{D I ment 6 point.... guess its time to get out the pipe wrench...or the grinder and take the heads off....you may then be able to just back them out...if not and they are rusted in place....you may have to drill them out....and then rethread the hole......whatever solution you come up with...ensure you put some anti-seize on the bolts you put back in.
