O boy...
'75 Porsche 914
'87 Mitsubishi Starion
'87 Toyota SR5 4x4 Wagon ( the ones with the atm machine on the back )
'85 Subaru GL10 4x4 wagon
'80 Toyota Tercel hatchback
I got married around this time, so I'll post both of our cars, since they're "ours"
'99 VW Jetta VR6

I hate to admit it, but I can't stop looking at 914s. I have a feeling I'll have another one soon. I might even trade in the RX7 if I can find a clean enough one.

The Corrado was awesome! Great power with V6, great handling and looks. I had it in a plum color which made it look better. However, had some problems with it including VW replacing the engine itself under warranty, and also replacing a few oxygen sensors.
If it wasn't for the problems, I would rate it a 9 out of 10, but with them only a 6!

91 Mustang LX, Red (coupe, nifty for a first car, but no power)

91 Beretta GTZ, Red (an absolute blast! 180 hp Quad4, great looks. still want a black one!)

96 Beretta, Light Blue (2.0 Liter, slow as hell, awful handling. Good Riddance)

92 Diamante, Gold (Barracks community car, had 20 key copies made and handed them out. A beater, but a great car. launched fireworks out the sunroof, raced a silverado down a 4wd trail and won, been wrecked by half a dozen different people. still running)

03 Protege ES, Laser Blue (love it. period.)

I agree 100%. Our Jetta was bought back under the lemon law because of faulty/crappy wiring. We'd be driving on the freeway, when all the gauges would die. About 45 seconds later the car would die, never to start again until the VW tech fixed it. This happened about 1/2 dozen times, once with the tech IN the car with me. Even he had to tow it back to the dealer to get it running again.
Damn, that VR6 sounded good though. I also loved the ergonomics, the good looks and little things like the quality of the paint and the placement of switches/ etc. was nice too.
Nice car when it was running, but pretty frustrating to depend on.

oh yeah here's a pic of a 914-6...I guess they are getting kinda rare, huh?

914-6s are basically 914s with 911 running gear. Brakes, suspension, wheels, engine, tranny... all 911 stuff, but in a MR car that weighs about 800 pounds less than a 911.
