I got one of Darryl's (aka Mazdaspeedwest) first run of lower tie bars but never installed on my car, and am never going to. I live down a long, very rough dirt road and the bar hangs down too low for me use it. Therefore, I thought I'd sell it rather than prop it up in the corner of my office.

You can read lots more about the tie bar by reading the sticky thread in the 1st Gen Suspension section or going to his website (http://www.automediazone.com/pro, click on Custom Performance Products, then Custom 1" Lower Tie Bars.) Basically the lower tie bar stiffens the front end similarly to what an upper strut brace does.

I'm asking $100 for the bar, including shipping to the US (Canada a little more.) The bar is brand new, never installed, and is unpainted. I'm firm on this price, so please don't ask if I'll take less! If you are interested, or have any questions, please PM me and I'll respond quickly.

how much lower does it hang?

 

with a 1" drop it has about a 3" clearance.
