I am interested the Indigo light weight alternator and water pulley. Are they still available? And would they work for a 2.0L 3rd gen protege(Protege5)?

Never get it on the dyno after going to full standalone or with my last two FI set ups all tuning was road tuning via data logging. The last dyno numbers I got after switching from a T25 turbo with a very small side mounted Eclipse intercooler to a T3/4 Turbonetics turbo @ around 10 psi with a Conquest FMIC and Eclipse injectors was I believe (this was three years ago) 175 WHP and right at 200 torque to the wheels.

With the standalone (Megasquirt and spark running a EDIS ignition system), bigger FMIC, 550cc injectors, custom intake manifold, race gas (100 or 110), methanol injections and 22-24 psi but very conservative AFRers and timing I figured it was around the 275whp/300 torque mark as I was eating transmissions.

As far for sale sorry all sold.

Recommendations for the 3rd gen 1.6L get the rear adjustable AWR 21.5mm with adjustable endlinks. Just don't leave it full stiff with lots of caster in the front on 225 or wider tires in the rain as it can be hand full i.e. super twitchy, but in the dry will remove almost all the understeer.

Sorry they are sold. I don't know if they would have worked on the FS motor.

Dave, I hate to see this part out happen but I'm glad you're sharing it with this forum and it's members.

I saw you and your car in person at Wagner's open house. It was a great car and I'm sad to see it go but I'm sure you have your reasons. Wish you the best with the sale.

Thanks me too! But when you have 500 all wheel drive horse powered car setting that only needs cage right next to it and only so much budget what you going to do !

To all take it as a lesson learned to set realistic goals and stick to them! I just didn't have the time or money to put into the car (complete custom engine internal build min $5K and custom transmission min $10K to handle HP) to be competitive in the class and type of racing I enjoy doing.

New race car (03 WRX wagon hybrid) can be seen here: http://biknman.shutterfly.com/action with latest updates toward the end of the "Subaru Race car" album.

Here's a sample of the custom v-mounted (WRC style) FMIC to radiator I fabing to reduce IC piping for reduced lag.

Happy New Year!
Dave

FYI its sold.

Turbo depends on what you are doing with your car. I.E. What kind of boost are you trying to run, and at what engine speed for what boost level do you want to maintain etc, etc.

THe T3/4 I was running on my 1.6 ZM Protege would make boost very quickly (started at like 2800rpms) with the header design I was using it would be at its peak efficiency at around 4100-4600 rpms (the rpms range that I'd make the most power) making around 12-18 psi which is what I wanted. Although the turbo spooled quick enogh by the time I hit the rev limiter (6700 rpms) it could make as much as 24psi.

I really don't know enough about the VE and engine characteristics of the 2.0 motor to recommend a on a turbo sorry.

Hope this helps you out.
