what are the gains from this ?

 

It's a much better ECU if you're running a BPT. Braden and many other have told me the Protege LX ECU really isn't that great to be running the BPT on. I'd expect not only some moderate gains, but also much better reliability.

 

To be specific, this is the ECU that matches the motor. It has the knock sensor and boost control built in. It is also mapped for the turbo and lower compression with larger injectors. If you want power and reliability without tuning then this is the best route. You can also use an S-AFC with this as well to up the boost and stay safe.

 

Mounted on the back of the block, most GTX motors will come with this still attached. I have a few spares from old motors.

Also, I just sold this one, orders are always available for these at any time. They take 2 weeks to arrive after the order is placed, I can order 3-4 at a time.

Is this just a drop in for the 1.8L DOHC harness ?

Say i have the GT-X engine and no ECU ... and a GT Protege ( DOHC 1.8L )

I know the ECU controls boost ... so are there selenoids, knock sensors and other stuff i am missing in my GT ?
