Air Flow Sensor

I need an air flow sensor for a 99 1.6. The Mazduh dealer wants $385.60. Are there sensors for other cars that will work. I can't find an aftermarket replacement. Anyone have one they want to sell reasonably or know of a place to get one?
Many thanks!

Thanks for the site, I will check it out. Now I'm getting the rotten egg smell from the cat. Could a bad sensor cause the cat to go bad? Can running waaay too rich cause that? The battery light also came on after disconnecting the sensor. Now the car will start but stalls immediately.

Unfortunately the warranty has already expired. The car only has 26,000 miles on it. I just can't see spending 385.60 on a new sensor!

Ok guys, I saved myself some money! If you ever have a suspect air flow sensor take it out and clean up the little delicate sensor parts with a q-tip. There was a layer of black mucky stuff that was screwing with the readings. It now works like a charm!
