Holy ****, $319 Per wheel? www.discounttire.com

I don't think $319 is for the package. Heck, Mazda charges $400 for getting polished alloy wheels on the P5! same size too!
Yeah, there are way better aftermarket wheels and packages. But not necessarily cheaper... it depends on what you get. Try looking for a MOMO wheel and u'll see what I mean

Those wheels are Racing Harts, and their wheels are pretty light from what I heard....... so you couldn't get that much lighter wheels for that much money, you could improve, but not that much...... in my opinion.......

$319??? This link has been posted elsewhere on this forum several times. http://www.mazdastuff.com/directory.cfm?CategoryID=196 The Racing Hart wheels are listed for $270 each, with out tires. You would probably have to get the tires somewhere other than the dealer, which should be less expensive anyway. Racing Hart does make excellent quality forged wheels which are strong and light weight. There are others available from Racing Hart, as well as Volk wheels, BBS, etc. that are forged, light weight, and strong also. All those wheels will be expensive, but shop around and see if you can't find another style you like somewhere else for a better price. I doubt a Mazda dealer is going to be the cheapest source for high quality wheels. A couple of good places to start looking are http://www.tirerack.com and http://www.discounttiredirect.com

Momo hit it big with Ferrarri, that's why half of my friends want their stuff....... If they were in the Proteges I bet you they wouldn't be half as popular as they are today, and overprices for that matter

Wheels
I was just at the dealership yesterday getting the oil changed on my MP3. The guy at the parts counter showed me the price list for all the parts. The wheels were listed at $270, but that was the dealer cost. The consumer price is about $319. That is WITHOUT tires!!!. Dunlop SP9000 run about $170 a piece too. Add that up and your at about $2000. I might think about selling you mine for $1500. They have 6,000 miles on em. Think about it...

Iron Lung,
Thanks for the update. The dealer I went to is a no knowing idiot. I was trying to get them put on my car when I bought it, but they were like...uhhhh yeah no one has ever seen them. (talking about the parts guys) Dorks! Thanks for all the replies. I will have to check around. I think I'm going to wait until after winter. Right now, I gotta get a snowboard rack and get ready for riding. Just in case anyone was curious. The Yakima adapter from a 1996 Subaru Legacy L wagon will fit on our factory racks well enough to use. (I know off topic)
