Hey guys, Hows it going. I am from Nova Scotia, Canada. I am the owner of a 1994 escort gt, and i was looking for info on protege shifters and how much they cost. That is how i found this site. I am looking for a 3rd gen protege shifter, just the rod, and it is hard to find one. I was wondering, because you guys change yours to aftermarket, how much you sell them for, the stock ones that is. They are a direct bolt on for the escort gt's and they are a shorter throw and 1.25" shorter in height. Also is there a difference in the size of the mp3's and p5's and the reg protege? thats for your time and hope to hear from someone. thanks again.

 

The P5 and sedan (3rd gen) shifter are the same length. The MP3 and MSD shifter are also the same length but are a little more than an inch shorter than the P5/sedan shifter. As you say, all 4 are shorter than your present shifter.

I have a 3rd gen sedan shifter and **** for sale for US $50. The **** is in excellent condition, but as I will only sell them together, you probably won't be interested.

 

yeah, you would probably get more for it with the ****, and i don't need one, but thanks for the info. I am just looking to find a deal or what not, just keeping my options open ya know.
