Why don't all of you go to your profile and put where you live?

It kills me when I am interested in something someone has to sell but when I look at the post, it doesn't have their location. Some things like an engine or tranny I don't want to have to deal with unless they live near me. Shipping is too expensive for the price of the unit, usually. I have to go through the trouble of sending the person a post asking where they live. Yes, yes I know it doesn't take an hour to post that question. However, when I do that, the person tells where they are at and also start sending me Private Messages. That means now I have to click on the email message, go to Club Protege, etc, etc. It's not that it takes such a long time, it's that if the location was there then it would be a snap. It's as if the members feel that by putting their city and state/province, even though their username is made up, that someone is going to find out their address and come knocking on their door. I'm not saying that's everyone. I'm sure there's a couple of legitimate reasons for it but we all know the vast majority of people are somewhat paranoid(only in that aspect) about stating their location. No one is asking for your real name, phone number or address. Let's everyone go back and add it to your profile. Can we let this post stay moderators? If not forever, let it stay for a week if you want to remove it because I'm not selling or buying something. At least it is because of something I saw that I might want to buy but had no city on it. Thanks

Your joke precisely explains what I mean. It's as if someone like this or some THING like this is going to come and take someone like Matty Mooling away. (Yes Matty, I noticed your location is there) I hope you like that one?

Hey, at least you think I have a good point. That's good enough for me. Personally, I think it's worth ranting about. Not seeing the location for an item I'm interested in makes me

Dude, you live in south Florida. I mean, how much farther away can you get from the rest of us? When we put something up for sale, I think the rest of us ought to just forewarn you... "uh, but you live in south Florida, right Manny? Better not. You probably wouldn't be interested. Better wait for one to come ashore in the next boatload of Haitian refugees".

I kinda agree to a point. Being that Im in Tx and it takes more time for me to go from Austin to Houston than it does to cross Louisiana I kinda get peeved when I see someone post a thead about a meet but dont put a state. I kinda get my hopes up. I know this will **** someone off but sofar TX people suck when it comes to acttually doing meets. I put a thread up yesterday about one in San Antonio and guess what, not one reply!
Yea I know, **** and moan!
