welcome back to the forum.

Yeah, this will be a ecu swap only mod.If custom tuned maps become available in the future I will be VERY active in getting those so we can flash them onto stock ecu's instead.

I drove my modified p5 with an MP3 map for a while and really enjoyed it. I'm sure this will make a lot of people pretty happy.

Damn, now I gettin' all excited for this to happen! Maybe this should be a genuine group buy thread? It isn't obvious from the title that that's what this is.

that would be a good idea too me, something a little more official with no other BS in the thread. Just a list of people who want to do it.

Also, some new info I got today at my sales meeting is that the reflasher2 will allow me to print a map file log to include with every job. It will show the code BEFORE the flash and the CODE after the flash. This way there will be no question as to people feeling ripped off.
in that case, sign me up!!!!!

Has anyone got there stock ECU reflashed to a different model before at a Mazda dealership?? All dealerships have access to all mazda model maps so I called my mazda dealership to see if he would reflash my P5 ECU to the MP3 Protege map and he was all sketchy about it and seemed to not beleave it was possible. So if anyone has done this with any model let me know??

the dealers don't have access to all maps. Only to cars that they service. No dealer I talked to had a map for the MP3 in their "Stock"

worst case scenario I just have to borrow an MP3 ecu and pull the map off it and save the file for use later. same with the MSP maps.

I believe that purchasing the software gives me access to mazda OEM software maps. Other wise what good would this unit be?

For anyone who has an MP3 ECU for sale and would be willing to sell it to me for less than $100 I would still be interested. PM me if that is the case. Thanks, Dan

the MSP has 9.5:1 as opposed to 9.7:1.......no issue at all. You'll probably notice slightly higher performance out of the car.
