There's only room enough for ONE JDM-*****...and that's me...lol.
Ok seriously, if you want to undertake it, it's going to cost you a nice tidy sum of money.
You can either import a RHD through Canada, Mexico, or most of the Caribbean countries....or the REALLY expensive way from Europe or Japan.
A good place to start is MOTOREX...they are the numero uno in importing JDM cars etc. try the www.wheelsjamaica.com boards....they may be able to help you out.
Either way...good luck you lil' *****.

There is nothing illegal about having a RHD car in the states. It will be hard to overtake other car on back roads. And good luck with the drive thur ATM.

Oops...I missed this...thanks David for rehashing.
Yes, nothing illegal at all. I see RHD cars on base all the time.

no it's's not ILLEGAL, however there are issues with getting a JDM car registered, as it needs to be NHTSA approved....

be my guest and spend THOUSANDS on a RHD conversion and then you can get a better look at my RIGHT taillight

i can almost promise my current lack of skill would be even lower with a RHD...but then again the local mustangs need a break in the MNTS

Ok...I'm going to ask you this for your own good....
How old are you?

You don't need a RHD car to beat Mustangs. You just need some ingenuity.
www.msprotege.com
Go ask over there, I'm sure they'll be able to help you.

no i'm not saying that...i can beat the mustangs now...i'm saying if i had RHD my skill would drop till i learned to drive it and they would have a break...Mustangs are slow in the Mnts.

Think about what you just typed. Think really hard. Don't post til you've really thought it over.
But please, take my advise and post up over on the other site. They are extremely helpful.
Don't bother w/the RHD conversion...way too much money & it will not help you on the mountains. Driving skill will help you on the mountain roads. What you NEED to do, is go find yourself a nice Miata or 240sx and go play around with one of those instead of wasting your money on something a trvial as a RHD conversion. Go join SCCA and run in the auto-x...that will help you immensely. Want RHD, move to another country where it's a necessity not a "nice-ity".

Seriously bud, how old are you? Because you are definitely not thinking rationally here.

That is all.

i knew this was a bad question to ask, but i was just trying to find out some useless knowledge for a later date. As far as my age...i'm 17,will be 18 in 2 days. I have been running the mountains every chance i can since i got my car(summer 2004). i'm not one of those stupid kids that thinks he's invincible i know i can die just like anyone else. thank you for your concern JDM-P5 but i check my car before every pass in the mountains and street"racing" isnt cool its retarded so dont worry i'm just a driving enthusiast like you.

sorry to rant but us "kids" get a bad wrap b/c of these "Fast & Furious" ricer wannabes

i assume thats what you meant in asking my age

Actually...no.
I was assuming that you didn't know wtf you were talking about...not that you were a ricer....it's obvious, that you are just a young kid. I was the same way...sort of. Except, I grew up watching my father race through sugar cane fields w/an old school mini cooper. Sometimes being lucky enough to ride shotty for an asphalt stage. I'm used to going to my uncles' shop as a teen and giving a helping hand on the old EVO GSRs...this being before most knew what the heck an Evolution even was.

i knew this was a bad question to ask, but i was just trying to find out some useless knowledge for a later date.
My thoughts exactly....I nor anyone else for that matter could've said it better!

Actually...better than me.
I didn't check my tires last time and blew 2 tires up @ Cheaha *Matty....no comments!*

Point is, yes, you are young & this is (I'm guessing) your first car *I'm assuming this*...take your time, learn your car...just because you've been on the mountains and "street" racing...doesn't make you "an enthusiast like me". Talking to ppl like TurboMattyP and hanging w/ppl like that who have extensive knowledge about cars...Going to auto-x's (I drive 1.5 hours each way just to go)etc. that's where the learning curve is. Learning the ins & outs of your vehicle is where you need to be. Running Deal's Gap or Tail of The Dragon or any mountain pass as an unexperienced teeny bopper isn't. Oh, & I'll answer for Matty...."you'd be surprised what some Mustangs will do....blah blah" He'd say something to that effect....anyway...you didn't think hard enough.
