Black car + Black rims = Undercover cop car!

At least that's what it looks like to me

your car all black looks nice. bonus points if you fog the tails, but i see where you are coming from about the cops.
im not sure but if you fog them couldnt you say they are legal since dot is stamped on them?

just because the DOT stamp is there doesn't mean they are legal. if you tint them, you have modified them from thier original design. whether or not they are still legal or not would depend on the extent that they were modified.

Sector:
your car looks sweet! almost like what i would like to do to mine. i might try to talk the wife into getting my stock wheels powder coated in a gunmetal/charcoal finish over the winter, so when i get my summer tire put on next year the car would look sweet, too!

car looks good, you need bigger rims, and lower profile ties IMO, but love the all black idea.

I think so too. Bigger rims, tinted windows all around, and tinted or carbon-fiber tail lights. Then, you will have an ulitimate bad-*** car!

Your Protege looks great! I haven't seen the blacked out look on a Protege before.

If I saw that pro on the street, I'd be scared. It looks fast. All blacked out, sweet.

Don't go bigger. Are those 15 or 16". I put 16" slipstreams on my Protege5 and they look great IMO. 17 and 18" wheels aren't as light and usually blacked out means some sort of performance is there or at least thats the intention. Looks good.

Thumbs up Sector

Please post more pics of your car if possible.

Looks fantastic. I just ordered 16x7 Gunmetal Slipstreams for the P5.... so I'd love to see some closeup shots of yours if you've got any.

What size tires are you running? Also, what springs?

Again, looks perfect to me!

Thanks,
Jim

I dunno, but I swear that picture is photoshopped. The car is too sharp and the background is too blury.
Looks nice anyway.

You can adjust depth-of-field and create that effect with any decent manually-adjustable camera.
