Brought my P5 to a Porsche meet
Last weekend I met up with some guys from a Porsche message board that I read as well. Since my 944 is in storage, I went in the P5....
Guess which one is mine?
Check out some more shots if you're interested:

Dave's 944 ahead, with Andy in the side mirror:
Boxster in the rearview:
The funny thing is, my P5 is worth three times as much as most of the 944's there (certainly not the Boxsters or 968's), but I still drooled over some of the decked out cars.
Check out a few of them that were there. These guys are all autocrossers and do the big track events, so they're big on GO and a lot less on SHOW (though these cars do look nice!)
Dave '86 944 N/A... who needs a turbo? He'll beat much faster cars on any autocross track:
Guards Red/Black int., Black 16" Fuchs w/ RE-730s, '88 TS Sways, Koni Yellows (just rear so far), KFP pads, SS lines, Euro-Products Chip, MSD-6AL, Blaster 2, Paragon 8mm wires, K&N etc.
Damian's '94 968. The last in the line of the watercooled 924/944 series, and my favorite of all. This thing is comfortable, looks awesome, handles like a dream, and is fast as anything:
94 Slate Grey/Classic Grey coupe, K&N, MO30 sway bars, Cargraphic exhaust tip, Cargraphic strut tower brace, Prospeed red calipers, cross drilled rotors, ss brake lines, Prestige alloy pedals, Euro front turn signals, Turbo S splitter
Adrial's '89 944 turbo:
89 951 - 82k miles
Alpine white, Black Leather
Autothority short shift, SS brakes lines, 968 M030 sways front and rear, Delrin rear sway bushings, Bursch test pipe
Zoltan's '89 944S2:
I guess Zoltan's 944S2 is stock, but either way consider that the S2 has a 16v 3.0L engine. I'm pretty sure that's the biggest displacement for any 4-cylinder in history...
p.s. proof that the chickies like the P5 just as much as any Porsche:

Haha... those girls in the Tercel pulled up along side me and I just had to get a pic, but unfortunately that photo really doesn't do them justice. Incidentally, they returned the favor, so somewhere out there is a pic of me in the P5 taken from one of those new cell phones.
Here's a few shots of my 944, since it didn't make it to the meet.
All in all, the 944 is definitely more fun to drive than the Protege5, but it's a whole different animal. The clutch on the Porsche is heavy as all hell, there is no power steering, and sure as anything I can't fit three people in the back seat (though I have in the past.)
I'll have to admit though, as fun as the P5 is, there is no substitute for RWD for pure driving excitement--both the thrill of easing out the back end through a tight turn, and the sheer terror of 4-wheel drifts when the road starts to get wet!
Rock and roll,
