DaveB rings with reverse gauges

The rings replaced the gauge bezel piece I had on it. These are total class. The best is at night when the blue and red from the gauges reflect off the rings. Great Mod - Great Guy. Thanx Dave!

that is sweet!

i've always wanted the aftermarket indiglo gauges, but still wanted to keep the "all red" lit interior... after seeing this... i think i will go for the indiglos... i have dave's gauges too.
and ya... dave is a great guy... awesome to deal with, good price, excellent packaging... i'd buy ANYTHING that dave sells...

That looks awesome. I've been thinking about ordering those rings from Dave but I'd rather spend it on some much needed struts/springs or headers. For now, appearance mods are gonna take a back seat for a while...

OK let me say this for the gazillionth time

If you go with the gauges, be very very careful slipping the faces over the needles. They WILL break with the slightest amount of excess pressure. They do fit without cutting them. I got them from procarparts.com for $45. Someone from the board said they seen them on E-Bay for less. Also, there's a post where a few people say their gauges burnt out after a month. I've had mine for three months now and so far so good. Hope this helps any. A wise man learns from his mistakes, an even wiser man learns from others mistakes.

you-the-man protege king... and i like your "A wise man learns from his mistakes, an even wiser man learns from others mistakes. "

thanks for the warning... ya, i've read many many horror stories about the gauges... i actually bought one of the earlier gauges (before the nicer ones came out...), and tried to bore the holes bigger by making a sand paper into a cone shape and just "drill" for like 1/2 hour... the holes got bigger, but then the "plastic covering" of the gauges started to warp... this was the only way (IMO) that you could fit the gauges with cutting the gauge itself, or cutting the needles......but i never installed them... i still have them!... thanks for the tip... i really want the gauges now because i have dave's rings!!!!!!! what should i do?

IMO......

I had the APC indiglos, after going through 3, yes 3 cluster gauges, I finally learned to drill the holes bigger. One of us held down the gauge face so it wouldn't warp or bend when drilling the holes bigger. I like the reverse ones way better, so I just bought the reverse ones and gave the indiglos to Sedan Man. (Your still the man Sedan Man but I still think your crazy for thinking those look better than reverse-LOL). He has pics of my old APC indiglos on his car. Holes are even and looks pretty good. Drilling holes is needed with APC style gauges but not needed with the reverse ones. Just be real careful. IM me (madybug30) if you think I can further help out. Would even install them for anyone insterested.

We didn't use sandpaper to drill holes. A bit drilled it in half a second. Than used a razor to clean up the edges.
