Well, there's a few forest fires raging a few hndred Km away from Calgary, so the city was covered in a haze late this evening as the wind shifted. The sun was visible through the "cloud" but it was a blood red. There was no wind, and it was unusually warm. It was right out of a movie, so I took some pics. They don't do it justice. I tried all different shutter speeds and such, but the best I got was 1/500 sec shutter, and F4.0 on the landscape shots. Those were off my back deck.

It was so strange outside, and so dark at like 6:30 that I thught it was Judgement day or something.

It was the meteor that crashlanded into my backyard moments later. The little green men that came out of it stole my camera, so I couldn't take pics, but they said they'll bring it back when they return to remove the rectal probe.
