Hi Rev Tuners

Did anyone see the MP3 on Hi-Rev Tuners tonight? I liked it. It was "yellowed-out" (everything was yellow) But if I'm not mistaken it was pushing 9 lbs of boost on the turbo.

I saw it

I looked like the Wings west car.

I could be mistaken and it was just a look-a-like

I agree. I haven't seen this show or whatever it is (IS it a TV show? What channel?). The first thing I thought about when you said all yellow MP3 is the wings west mp3. If it is that one, it's a supercharger, not a turbo setup.

It is a show on Sunday nights on Speed Vision or the Speed Channel at 10:30pm EST.

The wings West car is a supercharged MP3. The supercharger was either developed by, made by, or installed by Area 51. I don't remember which.

If I remember correctly from pics I have seen in another thread, the S/C setup was done by Area 51, but the S/C itself is probably a vortech V2-SQ. Hopefully if it is done right, it can be just like the one for the S200:

(from Vortech's WebsiteVortech's Website

The Vortech High Output Supercharging System will add 108 horsepower @ 7-8 psig to the S-2000. It features a V-2 SQ SC-Trim supercharger and allows retention of all factory accessories including A/C and power steering. The integrated dual pass air/water Maxflow Power Cooler charge cooler system allows for effective street operation using a closed loop water cooling system with a stand-alone pump, tank and front mounted heat exchanger. All components needed to bolt the system to a stock vehicle, such as mounting plates, fuel pump, supercharger oil feed and drain assemblies, electronic timing controller and compressor bypass valve are included. A three-year limited warranty is provided on the supercharger. Satin or polished finish components are available.

That would be sweet in our P5s.

From reading that thread, someone talked to Area51 and said they haven't even tuned the SC yet, it was pretty much for show purposes. But I guess there is a possibility of a kit being produced. Don't expect 108hp, though...
