i'm getting sick of this crappy paint job
so i took of the bumper guard this week to find a different shade of paint underneath it. then today i decide to start taking of the side moldings only to find this...

yeah, paint that has been covered up for an extended period of time will not fade or age as fast as exposed color. Doesn't look too bad to me.
Wash it up, hit it with a nice slow speed buffer and some GL7 scratch remover...see if that does any good.

i took the molding off the driver's door and it was fine. smooth as a baby's butt. but when i took the one of the rear door it was the same as the small molding up front. i used mequiars cleaning wax, gold class, gs27 scratch remover and none of it worked. as good as it looks without the side moldings i hate to do it but i think i'm going to put them back on. i can't stand seeing that layer of paint outlining where the side moldings were.
