I definitely think 99-00's have the potential to look a lot cleaner than the newer ones. The 01's + definitely look better stock, but add a few things to the old school pro's and the new ones look like pintos.

Haha, I was saying that the 2001+ refresh Protege's don't look as nice, IMO. They look like they are smiling. And the new rounded front end doesn't match the chiseled look of the rest of the car. The Pro5/MP3/MSP look nice, OTOH.

Before anyone gets offended, that was just my opinion.

I agree. The headlights follow the lines nicely but the lower part of the bumper doesn't at all.

I think the new 2003.5 MSP rear spoiler would look sweet on your Pro...
