My carbon fibers didn't leak at all (I sealed them first) ...it seems that the plastic is made defective .. after two days there was this white patch halfway up the light towards the inner side ..it seemed to be getting bigger ...then the passenger side starting doing it in the exact same spot too. I took them off and ran them under the tap and no water got into them ... then I even tried scalding them with boiling water (I was already planning to return them at this point anyways) but I couldn't even reproduce the white patch. It seems that the plastic was starting to have tiny hairline cracks inside but there were so many that it appeared to be a white patch. Several people on this board sent me pictures of their carbon fibers and they all had the patch in the same spot.
Ask Protetype ...he had 2 sets and both did the same thing ..
The chrome ones didn't do it ...didn't leak either (I sealed them).
Choice is yours in the end but it's $350cdn better spent elsewhere IMO.

APC makes the carbon fiber tail lights. I don't think they will even bother trying to improve the design ...people are still buying them and putting up with their crap ... I don't want something that looks defective on my car.
pr5owner ...I will take some pics of the interior of my car shortly .. ...not too much as far as mods though ..I just installed black/grey matrix seat covers, I've got racing pedals and I installed an aftermarket cd deck. I want to paint the gauge bezel and many other interior parts silver but I have to get the motivation and time to pull everything apart.

Hey Jonny, I don't know if you still check this sight, but if anyone else wants to help, that would be great as well. How'd you put the emblem on the mesh, since it is not tailored for a mesh grille. I was thinking maybe you just glue it onto the metal, but it might fall off doing it that way. What did you do so that it wouldn't come off?

Hey man!
Wow those are old pictures! When you buy the emblem it will have 2 pegs sticking out the back (guider pins) ...I took a small drill bit and drilled through the stock plastic grille (where the old chrome piece was) for the pegs to go through ...the emblem has adhesive on the back ...push it up against the grille and hold it there for a while. I removed mine a couple times so I bought some emblem adhesive to glue it back on ..works really well. It came in a fairly large squeeze tube and cost about $7.00 at a local automotive paint/parts shop.
I dont' suggest buying the home depot gutter guard stuff ...if you go to a performance auto shop (like automotive warehouse) you can get much better quality grille mesh that is a lot shinier and thicker (you can get them in black too) for about $20-25
Hope that helps,
Jon
