My Friday afternoon...
California drivers, you just gotta love when they stop abruptly giving you enough time to slam on your breaks and say "oh sh#t"
Out of 4 cars my Pro and my friend's Accord were 2 in the middle...

I know I was surprised at how much my back bumper damaged her car. I was like "that's a damn strong Mazda" heh. We haven't checked it all out yet, but from initial observation it seems like the front frames are damaged in the Pro and the Accord. My driver side door clicks loudly everytime I open it so I'm assuming there's some bending of the frame on that part. My radiator was pushed in a bit, but the rest of the engine is untouched. Surprisingly none of my headlights or foglights were broken or scratched. Just my bumpers are pretty messed up. For my friend's Accord it's mainly the hood and bumper. Minimal frame damage. The car in front of me only had black scratches from my front end. Heh.

Isn't the person that hit the Accord at fault for the whole thing?
Your friend hit you, but you hit the car that was in front of you so it doesn't really make sense if you sue your friend. You are as much in fault as your friend.
The first car shouldn't be responsible regardless of how sudden the stop was.........

I was in a situation like that once, but with only three vehicles, and I was the middle one.
The police told me that if I hit the car in front that slammed their brakes it would have been my fault. However, a witness testified that I had actually come to a stop without hitting the car - before the truck behind me plowed in and pushed me into the car in front.
So, if the car in back hit the Accord, then the Accord hit you, then you hit the front car, it may be found as the fourth driver's fault. If you hit the first car first, the whole thing may be your fault.
My experience was with traffic law in BC though...

We both had come to complete stops before the fourth car hit her which caused the whole chain reaction. Eh. Just a big confusion. My friend says she's happy that at least she knows one person in the whole crash, my parents are yelling me saying that if my friend wasn't my friend then they'd sue the lot of them. I don't know.
I don't even want to deal with the whole thing, but it's my car so I have to. Heh.

Well guys, it's been a while since I was last year...
I've been taking care of the insurance stuff and was finding a new car which I actually found.
It's not NEW per se, but a new car for me to drive. I regret to say it's not a Mazda.. haha.. but once a Mazda fan always a Mazda fan. Heh. So I'm gonna hang around for a while I guess..
