Smile My FS-powered Probe.

This is my car. It's a 94 Probe with some stuff. I'm not big into appearance mods, so it looks pretty stock. Anyway, I'm new here so I figured I'd post it.

Thanks. I bought them cause they weigh 13.8 lbs. per rim though. I'd be curious to see if they fit on the Protege. I have to run a spacer to use them, so I'm not sure if they'd work. You guys might have to space them out so far that they look like 100 spoke Daytons. Anyway, thanks.

Wow! What a great idea. Let's put rims made for a RWD specific car on a FWD car.

How's that weight shift working out for ya?

Rims for a RWD car??? All 4 rims weigh the same amount, so there's no "weight shift" at all. They are just like any aftermarket 16 X 8 rims. The car has never handled better, actually.

I think you need to re-check your information before you make posts like this.

I'm pretty ignorant of probes, so is the 2.0 you have the same as the newer proteges have? I've been over to probetalk a few times, it's a great forum for sure! Welcome over cheer

[edit] By the way, the KL series engine in the PGTs are some of the BEST sounding cars when equipped with exhaust, in my opinion... Ther is a guy around here with a PGT w/ exhaust and it sounds sooooooooo goooood! I can't wait for that KL-ZE swap!

Yes and no. It's the same engine, though there are some differences. I have a regular old intake manifold, a distributor, and a few other minor changes. My car was only 118hp stock.

And you're right, the KL series engines do sound sweet with exhaust. I'm a big fan of my Borla catback on the FS though.

Thanks! If you find a GT, go for it. They're much quicker out of the box. Most drivers can pull mid-to-high 15s stock. The 4-banger has a lot of advantages though as well...

More room under the hood, better gas mileage, lighter, etc. I'm not sure what your goals would be, but, IMO, the 2.0L is better for big power. Top feed injectors, MAF rather than a VAF... Anyway, good look finding one. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Alright alright, I messed up. The R1, R2 ,RS, and Type-RZ all had 235/45ZR17 in the front and 255/40ZR17 in the rear. 20mm wider tires in the back. Yours must be off a basic model .... Sorry.

All A-spec 3rd gen. (93-95) RX-7 wheels were 16x8, no matter the model. Tire size is unimportant, as I have tires that match my stock overall wheel/tire diameter, rather than the ones that came on the RX.
