Looks like they drop the car just the right amount Looks good, now you just need some 18's and you'd be good to go.

roof rack?

Hey Redwagon02,

What brand roof rack is that? Yakima or Thule? And what type of tower did need to fit your PR5?

It's a Yakima rack. I'm using the Q towers. If you go with these you'll need Q102 Q-clips. the same clips also fits the focus. These were hard to find, as I had to get them directly from Yakima. But that was a couple months ago. Hope you have an easier time locating them. Thats if your gonna go the route I did.

I'm thinking of getting a trailer hitch and using a hitch bike rack instead cause its too loud and I can never open the sunroof while the car is in motion from all the wind noise. But I think it looks friigin awesome on the car and now especially since my cars is lowered.

Does anyone know how much noise gets cut down from a Yakima deflector? Is it worth getting?

Thanks for the rack info. The Yakima wind fairing not only looks good , but reduces that nasty wind noise.

I had one on my Honda and it worked great (form and function!). I bought mine from REI. They have great prices on cycling gear and accessories (REI.com).

Thanks for the info on the fairing. I think I'll try that first and see how well it works!

Hey Red, what's the ride like since installing the eibachs? Did you install aftermarket shocks to? Looks good, thinking about doing the same to my P5. Hook that thang up, yeah!!!

the ride is pretty much close to the factory. I would recommend the Eibachs to all.

How is the handling? It should make it a little better since it has a lower center of gravity. I want to go with the Eibach sports on my MP3, just dont want to lose any of the great handling. Just want the lower look.

The handling is great! It stays more flat around corners than the OEM springs, if that was more possible as these cars are very impressive from the factory.

im having a problem deciding from the eibach springs that you got or the Ground Controls. I know their both made by Eibach but thats besides the point. Im more worried about what its gonna be like when i put 17's on. Im worried about rubbing problems and stuff and so im not sure weather or not to go with the GC or the Pro Kit that you have? your car looks clean even with the stock rims although it will looks tighter with bigger rims.

I was gonna go with 18's but dont wanna rub. Anyone know if 17's will rub with the same Pro Kit in the pic?

Sorry, last question, How much did u get this all done for? did you have to bend your cambers or anything?

thanks

The Eibach pro kit uses progressive rate springs. I believe the Ground Controls aren't. The place that did it says that my camber is off by around 5 degrees and recommended a camber kit.

I got the springs locally in South Florida for $225 and paid $120 for the installation. Not too bad I think.
