Painted stock rims installed

Here's a shot of the stock rims I painted. Just got them on today after picking them up from getting my Toyos installed. I'm still working on the centercaps, they will be bronze as well with the Mazda emblem remaining silver. Bad camera angle from where I am parked, if I get some better shots in the next few days I'll post them.

Hey, looks good. I had to paint my center caps after Matty powercoated my wheels.
Little bit of a bitch to get it right.
How are you going to do it?
I used painter's tape and taped the whole cap, then used an exacto knife to cut away everthing but the emblem.

Thanks for the kind words. I will use a masking agent for the emblem on the center caps. I bought it in the model section of a hobby store. There are a couple different brands, basically you paint it on the area you don't want painted, then once it is dry have at it (you need to have a steady hand though). After you are finished you just peel it off. I was thinking about painting the caps to match my car's color, did one and it wasn't a good idea. The masking agent worked great though.

I took the wheels/tires to a local garage (where I am getting my bodywork done). They did a great job installing the tires, no chips that I could see. I was very careful using the lug wrench, nothing worse than marring your work at the final stage.

Here's a little better shot. I have noticed some chipping on one of the rear rims around the inner opening, when the weather gets nicer I will have to take it off and touch it up. Otherwise I am very happy with the look.
