Two thumbs up all the way. This is really nice car. I can only imagine the amount of hours you have put it in this car, or the amount of money! Great job!

does the mazdaspeed bumber have screw holes to put the factory foglights in them because i have a 2000 protege with foglight and i like to put them back in there?
Good Luck!

bumber
so did the bumber fit right on the car with no problems? or was there fitment problems with the lights or grill or something? so there is nothing to screw to the back side of the bumber so no foglights or mesh grill unless you glue them in other words?

so i have to get rid of my bumber re inforcement under the stock bumber and made a homemade bracket why cant u use the factory one ? is it too big or you couldnt cut it down to size of what. i just dont want to spend to much money the bumber and paint is alot of money itself. what happens if i have no bracket under the bumber it wouldnt sit right?

Since I didn't do the work myself all I know is what I state so far. The Cork Sport version of the Mazdaspeed bumper does not come with the mounting brackets mounted to the inside of the bumper and/or the holes propositioned or drilled for attaching it to the car. The OEM mounting bracket is basically part of the bumper I guess its molded into the bumper when its made. So a bracket has to be made and attached somehow to the inside of the bumper so it can be remounted to the car. The shop that did my work did not reattach the re-enforcement because they said the bumper would not fit well without have some gaps. Plus if you don't tailgate what's the worry and you lose like thirty pounds off the front of the car. I'll be removing my front bumper soon to install an intercooler for my turbo I'll take some pics of everything and post them to my web site for ya.

Dave is right you will loose your bumper reinforcement, but hey if you don't tailgate then it is no biggie, as with mine it is gone lol ,, I will post pics however of the full install of the bumper so you can see the removal the the reinforcement lol .... but the front end is much shorter and lighter and not to mention meaner looking
