Well it looks like the car may be out of the body shop soon. I went down the threatened that guy and he says he'll have it done next week. We're suppost to go in on Wednesday and make sure everything looks good before they start painting. So everyone keep your fingers crossed for me!!! I hope that it will actually be done like it's suppost to be, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Well I just thought I would let everyone know the Pro shoul be out of the shop on the 9th. I can't wait!!! It will just be one week short of being in the shop for 11 months. I finally when into the shop and basically ripped the guys head off and threatened him if the car wasn't done since we're getting into show season. I have it in writting that it will be done on the 9th, and I have it in writing that we don't have to pay him the $850 we still owned him in body wotk since it too so long. Yeah for me. It's the least he could do though since we've paid over $4000 in payments and insurance over the last 11 months. I'll most pictures this next week as soon as I get some!!!

Trust me I know, there was NO WAY IN HELL she was only driving 20 mph, but since we live in such a small town the cops don't do accident reconstructions themselves and it wasn't important enough to call in the County or Staters to do it for them. I think it's BS and that the girl should have been sighted, but oh well it's too late now. Just incase I didn't mention it earlier though she was driving a early 90's Pontiac Grand Prix. Yeah all I can say is damn American cars they don't crumple like imports!

What's up everyone?? It's been a LONG time!!! I haven't been on the boards cause I started getting sad looking at all the Proteges while ours was still in the shop, not that anything has changed though. I just thought I would give everyone an update though...

Well first the good news We took the car into Mazda for the blown motor (thanks to my boysfriends racing with NOS) and we actually got the WHOLE thing covered under warrenty. As of last month there is a BRAND NEW motor in the car and it didn't cost us a penny. No more racing though, thats what the civic is for

Now for the bad news....The damn car is STILL in the body shop. We have now been waiting for about 4 months just to get the damn thing painted. It's "suppost" to be done by the end of the month, but we'll see. All it needs is paint, but the shop moved and doesn't have a damn paint booth at the moment which causes a problem. We've already started talking to a lawyer though so one way or another the car will be getting done REALLY soon. I can't wait to post pics cause it looks bad ***. It definatly wasn't worth waiting 16 FREAKING MONTHS, but it's still bad. Plus in the mean time someone else already got a picture of a Protege 5 in a magazine with a custome body kit. You could imagine how missed we were. Lets just hope nobody has done a Protege yet.

I'll post some pics as soon as we get some though.

Yeah I just got in a accident that was 100 $ this dumb hoes fault. She decided to turn right as I was driving down the road, I had no choice to hit her. I get out and she is like "why didnt you stop?' I was speechless. Oh well, I need a new bumper which is 930 bucks and im not paying for a penny of it.

Wow, what a shitty deal! What kind of body shop takes that long? Maybe you can sue the guy's *** off when you finally get your Pro back.

Trust me we've been thinking about getting a lawyer for a long time now. We just haven't decided if it would really be worth it. We started talking to one, but we don't know what we're going to do about things yet. Part of what we're waiting on is to see if it's done by the end of this month like it is "suppost" to be. I told the guy that if it wasn't we were going to get someone else involved for sure. He's only got a few days left so we'll see. I'm stopping by to check things out today. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

I think you have been considerate long enough ,Its time to be the Queen Bitch ,Go after the shop for all the costs you have incured ,including the cost of work and your loan payments and the cost of any rental car you rented plus all legal costs. 16 months is just nuts . I wouldn't have put up with this at all.
If I understand America law ,if you sue the lawyer takes a percentage as their fee ,that why include them in your suit . This shouldn't cost You a thing .

We're all rooting for you. I think you're right to wait and see what this guy does by the end of the month. Good luck with everything!
