REMUS muffler (my first real mod :-)

hmm.got my REMUS muffler today :-)
huge and heavy it is (2x 92x78mm pipes and 24pounds weight!)

i bought it off private for 160€, quite nice, since the complete new costs 320€ :\

maybe you can help me with 2 thoughts:

1) in the certificate it says that it fits the Sedan AND Hatchback...can that be? I thought that the sedan mufflers are longer than the 5's ones....
I mean, tomorrow morning i will try to install it but i would like to know as soon as possible

2) on the flange/muff (pointed on with arrow) there is rust although the muffler was never used... should i try to get the rust off and polish the muff ??? what would you say??

as soon (or: if) it will be installed successfully i will post pics

According to my buddy at Mazda, as with the 'Mazdaspeed/Racing Beat' axle-backs, they are NOT interchangeable between the wagoon and the sedan...

If it in fact doesnt fit, you can always have it 'modi-fucked' at a local exhaust shop...

Oh yeah. I might be wrong, but, it may also not fit right on your wagoon because of the cut-out in your bumper for the factory muffler, which is only a single tip. If the exhaust DOES bolt on, it will likely sit below the cut out. You can always take a dremel and make the bumper cut-out wider...
