you guys & gals gotta see these mazda pics..

I was searching the web for random japanese mazda protege/familia/sport wagon sites and came upon a GREAT page of pictures of random japanese meets of mazda cars..

most of them being mazda protege 5's (the sport 20s and sport 15s) in japan..

http://www.seri.sakura.ne.jp/~323f/EVENT.htm

theres about 40 events so hopefully you have a faster connection then I do..

lots of cool pictures.

seems like the scene for mazda is so much bigger in japan..

it'll bring a tear to your eyes..

go figure.

Sweet site, thx for the hook up. Did you guys see the porshe station wagon? OMG that is wild, never thought I'd see the day. Maybe the P5 has had some influence on the market? And what about that capella or whatever it was called(the orange four-door)

in the first link on that page, there are 2 engine shots....to me they look like the B6T engines????? the grille and lights don't look like a 323F or P5....but i could be wrong...

Alan, can you shed some light on this for me?

That V6 was stock. in Europe the 323F (I think it was the F) came with a V6. some were called ZXi in the UK. it came with the same V6's that were in the MX-3

There's a shop near Toronto that says they'll do a KL-ZE conversion for Proteges.. $4800 CDN if you're going from a I4 to the V6. http://www.a-spec.ca/

Although I think I'd be just as happy with the FS-ZE.

oh, and ps: i know that mazda doesn't compete in wrc ..

Note that these pictures were taken in Japan not Europe, it was a Familia meet.
98 - 01 323 had 1.3, 1.5 and 1.8 .... new one year 2001 has 1.6 and 2.0 .... v6 was in 323 Forte .... year 94-98 or something!

Yes I finally know something that TheMan didn't.
yes I'm sure that it came with a V6 or did, when the 3rd gen came out the V6 didn't make it. I've been to the UK like five times and I've seen them. In the photos there is a fast back with no grill thats the one that came with the V6. it also came with a I4.
