Im crusin down this street. Im acctually looking for a race cause i didn't go to our "Car Show" last night. So im cruisin and i see this Civic DX with some muffler and it has one of those RPM gauges with the light on its dash. He moves in to the next lane and theres another Civic LX. He has a muffler and then the two civics start weavin in in out of the traffic. I start weavin with them to know that i want some. We catch up to this Galant(he has a muffler and this huge mitsubishi emblem painted on his hood) and he starts goin with us. We come to a red light and its me, the galant and the LX. We take off and the galant fell back at like 40mph. Then me and LX are like at 70 nose - nose. at like 75 i start pullin away from him. I got like a car length in front of him (around 80 mph) before i let off. I don't know if the DX got stop behind traffic or what but he was acting like he wanted some. But he never acctually raced us. But anyway i guess i won't count the DX. And unless he had turbo or some other engine i probably woulda beat him too.

the Civics are easy to beat...........I am suprised that the Galant was behind you and the Civic.............did he look like he was flooring it ??

 

the LX? He better have been or else i have a slow car. All of us had two people in the car. My friend said he looked like he was trying. The DX and LX were swervin in out of traffic getting up on slower cars asses, so it looked like they wanted to race. Then the Galant started started doin the same thing. But yeah the LX better have been tryin or he was goin 75 in like a quarter mile for nothin. Im not sure how long it was but it wasn't far. And the speed limit was 45.

 

Im sure the LX was triying because i have beat LX's before with my gen1 dx. I have also beat gen3 Lx and DX before but never tried to race a ES before.

 

I don't know what gen it was but i just got done smokin another civic. This time it was an EX (from what i understand the EX comes with DOHC V-TECH.) So if thats true then... I LOVE MY CAR. That was the whole reason i got the car. To beat them SOB's with the damn civics that think the're hot ****. I don't know what he had under the hood, but he had a muffler. He had those red turn signals. He was probably a ricer. He didn't know how to race either. I was at the light and he reved his engine loud. So (me having an automatic) i stuck it in neutral and reved mine. But before my RPMs could get back down to 1000 i poped it in 1st. And for some reason my car dosen't go straight into drive it has to shift through a couple gears after it was in neutral. anyway so he took off (and to make a long story short.) i caught up and took him by a car length before i slowed down. I don't know what my speed was as i was to worried about catching up and then slowing down before the on comming traffic start to merge from the highway.
If none of this makes any sense im sorry im f**kin tired. Just reffer to my first couple sentences.

Ricer civics yeah. But civics in general aren't always. I raced a hatchback civic once. he had rims and a muffler. it was an older civic hatchback probably '89 and you know them things had like 85-95 hp. So when the light turned green i took off. I was like 3 car lengths in front of him. Then next thing i know ZOOOM he blow by me. He was like 4 or 5 car lengths in front of me. So we had to stop at the red light and i asked him what he had in there and he told me an LS integra engine. So you know...don't judge a boook by its cover.

 

that's true, but exceptions like this are rare...............
