Ok on Easter I was headed home from Medard Park in Plant City...I decided to drive my 280zx since it was nice out,so I took off the T-tops and rode out...this new Protege pulls up next to me at Valrico Rd and revs...So I'm thinking "I'm heavier and we have about egual HP, but wtf!" so I dont even launch,but I stomp it off the light,and I pull on him!!!...I love this car...no offense guys but its way more fun to drive than the Protege! rack up another kill for the Z!!!

 

Good Kill, even for the Z, the protege is no competition for those cars. It was probably some idiot with the 1.6L engine

Don't get me wrong, protege is awesome driving machine
just in the case of the Z, it is faster in a straight line, that is what I implied. Hell, sometimes I think the protege is more fun to dirve than a BMW

 

HEY HEY easy on the 1.6 jokes. it hurts my feelings. lol hence the reason i got the turbo for it.

 

actually guys the 280zx only has 135 hp,and is 200-300 lbs heavier than the pro,and it was a 2003 ES..no way it was a 1.6L....I really thought I would lose to be honest,I but I pulled on him good,I had about half a car length and didnt even launch it....FYI, if you drove a bone stock Z and a bone stock protege,special models excluded...it's really no contest which is more fun to drive,IMHO
