But Roddimus, remember the 1.8L FP-DE is the de-stroked version of the 2.0 FS-DE....
the 2.0L was out before the 1.8L, it think it was in the 4cyl probes/mx-6s and 626s, that is if i remember correctly....

so
the 1.8 is the destroked version of the 2.0
not
the 2.0 is the stroked version of the 1.8

lol ghettopro, i cant WOT in first and comign into second, because i still got snow tires on, and they don't grip very well from a start.....if i'm already rolling in second i can WOT it....

hey another thought came to mind, my tires.... they are huge snow tires.... with the sidewall way bigger than stock.... would that yeild any differences at all... but wouldn't the bigger tire be harder to turn, and if i got my stock tires again,(smaller diameter) then my car would be faster....ahhh i got my head thinking on this thing again :P :P *head hurting*

WOT = Wide Open Throttle (basicaly when the accellerator pedal is pushed all the way down, allowing for the throttle body to be completely wide open, allowing for the most air to enter your engine)

i am a member of toprotege.com

just i've always been coming to this board, i think i'll start to freqeunt that one again, i was there like last year (or it could have been the year before that, i dunt think it would be that far back) when there was that westside stripclub meet

but i didn't goto the meet

then after that i kinda stopped goign to the boards, cuzi came back here

i'll frequent both....

so if you live 10 mins away from me, you might see me driving around now n then

if you see a white pro (well the one liek in my sig) which is making a loud whistling sound, almost like a HUGE truck turbo being spooled up, then its me (or my dad, or my mom(but she doesn't rev it high enough to make the turbo spooling sound ))

lol

i dont doubt you beat a probe, with PGT's it goes both ways, either the car is vastly underestimated, or WAY overrated, this guy probly has a 93 GT, with a few miles on it, stock clutch, and it probly just isn't as healthy as it could be, most PGT's i see around dont really run to their full potential, i should know, i've got 2 of them ... the one i've owned for going on 4 years now, runs great, pulls like a raped ape, and would walk away from your protege' , my other one, that i just bought a few months ago, has 180K miles on it, STOCK clutch (yes, the clutch has almost 200K miles on it lol), and stock everything else, and it pulled a 16 second ET when i took it to the track for a baseline run, a PGT that is in good healthy condition, with a compitent driver should easily be able to run a low-mid 15 second ET without problem, i've seen stock GT's dipping into the 14's even...

and he really doesn't have a power band, the KL-03 has a really even power curve, 164 bhp and 160 tq, and the curve is pretty much right on top of eachother and it holds power throughout the RPM range really well, you can fell the power start to drop off a little bit at certain rpms, and then the VRIS start opening (this is assuming his vris still work, which they commonly dont) and you can feel the power start to even out again and pull harder...

basically, you are driving a newer, better condition car, against an older, probly not so strong anymore car that weighs more, i'm not suprised you beat him, but i wouldn't pull up to any probe and think you will walk away, because you will be sadly mistaken many times i'm sure ... take it for what its worth, and shove it in your friends face, because that is what having friends is all about ...
