Ahhhh Stupid Hondas!

ohhhh im sooo saddd...

so a while back i raced my friends civic in my other friends 1990 Eclipse GS, and losed.

This kid in the civic finally convinced me to do a quarter mile run with him in my p5, as i rarely race her. He is all stock, minus a CAI intake, so i figured eh i should win, since he has that shitty D16 motor.

We line up on this back road that is a perfect 1/4 and is new asphalt, and very closed off. do the 5-1 Countdown, i rev up to about 3500, drop it and get no wheel spin and launch off..... He drops his car from redline (as he told me later) managed to burn out like hell and still get ahead of me from the start, though it was close, all the way through he had atleast a carlength on me.... ******* Honda, at the end i stomped my brakes and drove back before he did, got down to the end where everyone was and just yanked my parking brake spining me the other way..... boy was i pissed. this is why i dont race often.....

Needless to say, he comes back yelling how shitty my 19k car was compared to his pos civic that he spent 13k on (got it used with 29k miles on it)....

oh well, ill show him some Sentra *** soon, once i mount up some decent tires (only thing wrong with my se-r is the tires are close to bald)....

Still am i the only one having problems beating these 2000 Civic Exs.... cause ****, i ran perfectly through 1, 2, and 3rd gears...

So let me get this correct. Hondas suck because you can't beat them in a street race?

Enjoy your car for what it is...which is not a drag racing machine.

umm honda does not actaully suck, their cars are very good for waht they are, (economy cars) and they are pretty quick compared to the competitors, especially SiR's and ITR's

I'm dying to hear this.

It's a drivers race maybe you should say "Bad Drivers Suck!!", then proceed to suck something.

wtf? you cant beat a non dohc civic?

I beat a 6th gen civic ex by like 2 - 3 lengths when my car was bone stock, civic had i/h/e

the newer ones are a lil faster, it was a pull-pull race when i ran against a 01 Civic EX. If it was a 6th gen civic you shouldve won.

i havent racedany 6g civics. but i would think that you would win. is your car an auto or stick? ill try to find a 6g civic and prove to you that its not the car all the time it matters on the driver also. not saying you are a bad driver or anything.

Actually the 7th gen civics are slower. Their engines don't respond too well with mods due to the ULEV requirements.
