your car is a gt right. how did you beat a 98ish Cavalier Z24. i raced a stock one and i lost. Thunderbird 5.0 should and would kill you really bad. sorry to say this to you but i have raced a thunderbird and a cavalier z24 and i wish that i did not.

I have to agree that your list of beat offs is bull ****. The only one you may have beat is the NX200. Theres no way youd beat a T-bird or crapalier. Those pedals may make you think theres nore HP, but theres not.

Why is it so hard to believe that I beat a Cavalier? They're not that fast. My car does 1/4 mile in 16.3, and I'm a good driver, so it's not hard for me to beat people who's car may be a little faster than mine.
And the 5.0 Thunderbird is a joke. SO NOT FAST. Just because it has 225 horsepower, doesn't make it fast. It's heavy and automatic.
Don't underestimate a good driver. A good launch makes all the difference when you're racing up to 100kph(60mph). Huge horsepower advantages only make a difference when you go faster. I can do a 1-2 shift faster than anyone I know too.
Also, just because we have the same motor, doesn't mean you have the exact same horsepower. Every motor is different, and I was blessed with a gem. An ex of mine had a 91 GT, and the best I could get her car to do in the 1/4 mile was 17.2.
Besides, why would I make those up? Geez, you guys act like the idiots from Toronto Protege Club.

Thunderbirds are slow. They've got a lot of power but they're helluva heavy! They can be made to be fast, though, so it really depends.

If both cars are stock:
Thunderbird: 210hp (not the HO 5.0 in the T-bird), 3900lbs, 19.5 lb/hp
Protege: 140hp, 2600lbs(or less), 18.571 lb/hp
Add in a slushy Ford automatic, and you have a Mazda victory.

why does everyone think where they beat a car twice their cylinders and liters thats its bs? not all drivers are the best and the cars are heavy as #$&%. you do the 10lbs = 1 hp saying and the 5.0's obvisouly weighing at least 1000lbs or more would be an equivalent to 100hp.
