My friend around here who has about 20-25 acres decided to build a 1/4 mile track on his land. Well it was his dad.. anyway, He has the timer and everything so my firends with their integras and civics and even a few preludes went out to play. I had my mom drive the Protege and I took my SVT Foci. We had various other vehicles there... the only thing i wanted to race that night though with my SVT was this little ***** in a blue mica P5 talking crap about my Foci and how he was runnin 50-shot NOS and he can beat anything. His first mistake.. Don't tell someone like me what ur runnin under ur hood... I ran a 15.8 at Bradenton Motor Sports so I figured the P5 would burn me. Well I'm runnin all natural (no intake/exhaust). Well to make a long story short.. Auto heavier then ***** P5 with 50 shot NOS still only ran a 16.9. Well.. he shut up real quick about my foci and i ran a sweet 15.789 @ 90MPH. I just wanted to let everyone who's made fun of the SVT's... You don't have to love 'em.. but at least respect 'em. 170hp naturally aspired isn't bad at all... And as for my old Pro.. hahaha 17.88 baby! wooo hooo...

 

I don't like ppl who think NOS is the key to everything. What a loser.
He definitely couldn't drive. I've read about ppl runner faster times than that w/there P5 without NOS.He really sucks, BAD.

 

Yeah right, he probably didn't have any n2o at all, he probably just bought those bazooka subwoofer tubes that look like the bottles.

 

Yeah, that was my guess also. I would think he would do at LEAST a second faster with NOS.
Either way, he's a loser.

 

He was def. shooting NOS through it. 50 shot isn't that big of a deal.. He was running with AEM intake and some crappy bolt-on axle-back universal muffler.. I know the SVT is slow and i'm running stock until next week. By then the Chip will be here and my AEM will be here and I'm looking forward to his rematch with the money on the line this time. I hate cocky people and I never would have been ragging on beating him right now if he didn't say my car was ugly and looked like crap. So I hope no one hates me for ragging on a P5 (but i do still have a Protege ES so i am one of you ) . Anyway, He thinks his 50 shot is gonna beat me again.. if he had the 5-speed he could but not with the 4-speed atuo. Well i dont think so anyway. Anyway, I'm looking forward to his rematch and hopefully I'll pocket some money on this one (I could use a turbo!). lol...

 

I hope you beat him worse than before. I hate cocky ppl. They are so aggravating and annoying. BTW, your NOT a sellout, I understand that you had the need for speed.

so.....if he did 16.9 with 50-shot N.O.S, he just ridiculous, that what I call RICE too..., think about...whats his time without NOS? 19.5??????????

 

Congrads on beating the P5 man, that's pretty good. I personally don't really care for the SVT's, but Ihave to admit they are pretty quick. There is a black one that use to always come out to the races with us up here. He wouldn't tell anyone what all was done to his car, but I'm guessing he had a chip. He was spanking alot of people out at the races, but I have to brag I did beat him driving my boys 2002 ES. I thought the poor guy was going to cry cause I crushed his bragging rights. I was a good race though.

the loser in the p5 probably thought that NOS was the octane boosts you buy at Canadian Tire for $12 a bottle....you know if you send in the UPC, they give you a free NOS hat

 

Yeah, I use that stuff every once in a while. It adds 75hp.

LOL well you have to understand.. He has an auto and well.. i must the autos on these protege's just suck *****. Since the autos are only 4 speed the last two gears are too damn loooooooong.... emphasis on the looooooong... I hated my protege cause the auto, even if i did add turbo, i woudn't be able to pull the max power out of the engine. It needed at least one more gear. And this fool I raced it was exactly like in the 'Fast in the Furious' when jesse and tran ran at race wars.. he pulled that NOS too soon.. half way through 2nd he dropped it in.. i quickshifted into 3rd (and i have crappy shifting) and burnt him all over the track.. it was over by the time i hit 4th... he was done and there we had it.. 15.8 vs. his 16.9. But we'll see what he can pull this friday.. let's see if my crappy shifting can pull him again.. I hope i can.. but i don't wanna break my baby either.. i mean only 2200 miles.. i gotta be careful I'll update everyone after we race again.

i dont think you can use the nitrous too soon....
in automatics, u can activate it in first gear and have it on for the whole run...


but either way i hate people that think theyre cars are so fast when they have nitrous

soon as their bottle is empty, theyre back to being a 19 second car or whatever they were to start off with

maybe if they were a 14 second car, and used nitrous to get themselves to 13 it would be more respectable
