Dont underestimate trucks

My friend was driving his dad's 1996 F-250. it has the turbo-diesel engine and some kind of aftermarket intercooler. we were playing around the streets and shyt and we decided to race. At the beginning i was ahead of him by not too much. but after like 1/10th of a mile he just pulled up and away and left me there. I guess its because of all the torque that beast has. O well im never going to underestimate the power of trucks.

I find that kind of hard to believe given that diesel engines take about 20 minutes to rev up...

The PS diesel used in Ford trucks will **** 'n git. They have very quick acceleration considering the circumstances. Torque monster, yes. HP: enough. It doesn't surprise me in the least that you got beat.

All in all, it goes to show that people will race anything.
