Fun ride on PA Turnpike Today
I was just getting out of work today, just climbing up the ramp to the Blue Root near Phila, when I look in the review mirror to merge and I'll I see I another protege5 (silver) closing up on me fast... This is like the first one I've seen on the street except my own, so I'm pretty excited.
So this guy coasts up along side me and looks over... He's wearing this huge ****-eating grin like: "Isn't this the ******' coolest thing or what." And of course I've got the same kid-in-a-candy-store look on my mug too.
We ran down the turnpike about 10 miles before he took his exit.
It's amazing how something so simple can be so much fun.

haha, same thing with me and R/T's. I rarely see em. Last Sunday I was goin down a two lane (each way) road, and rode next to a near twin of my R/T, it was cool.

I know the feeling exactly! I was driving home from my girlfriend's one night, and saw that about 4 cars up in the other lane was a Yellow P5, with dealer plates. Sure enough, when I got beside him it was the very guy who sold me my car! (Jeff from Sunridge Mazda here in Calgary!) We both had a "gear to gear" grin for about 5 minutes when he then turned off into his 'hood to head home. What a rush!

theres only 4 P5's in my town, 2 are yellow (one with tight graphics) and a silver one and a red one.
I used to get the same feeling whenever i would get beside another 89-95 Grand Prix in my 1989 Grand Prix, even funner getting to race one, since mines got MODs done to it.

Last night was the first time I saw another P5 while i was in mine. I was on the Pulaski Skyway heading into the Holland tunnel (Downtown NYC) when i rolled up on this silver P5 with a great mirror tint all the way around. so i pulled up next to him but i couldnt see him because of the tint. so all he saw was me staring aimlessly into the tinted windows. I pulled out ahead and saw that he had a great 'Protege5' sticker across the front of his windshield. I was hoping we would both get stopped at the light before the tunnel to see if he ever posts on here, but he had already taken an exit. Either way, it's cool to see them around.

The one day, this nice ES GT rolls in. Out come 3 of the hottest chicks I've ever seen
Wow, I was about to say something, but the moment wasn't right..... Since then, I've been seing all these hot chicks driving Protege sedans and one of them was in my French class, so ya know, had to let her know that I drive one too. It turns out this cute asian chick drives a 1st gen Protege too, so you're not alone Wil.

Anyone actually race yet? All stock here, started out at 70 against a Celica '02 and a Probe ?... celica came out ahead, I followed and the probe crept up and passed me when I found the speedometer topped out at around 105. I was ready to sell the damn car... but then again I'll take it down Rt 101 (nice cliff side winding road for those of you not familiar) anytime and smokem hands down. (or so I'd love to believe)
