Ever race a cab driver before? I have..sorta. "Oh god" faces now . Today, i was ready to get on the bridge heading home, and i looked in my rear view and saw the cab driver getting anxious to pass. Before you get on the bridge, theres this long sharp curve, so i kept it in third and we finally get on the bridge. 3rd is starting to climb to about 3-3.5k rpms, and I let it get to the redline and shifted, i look in the rear view and no cab driver, so I look in the left driver side mirror and he's slowly, but surely passing me! what the! I had 2 passengers in the car but that was my only excuse to save my embarrassment. I think it was one of those mercury things or a lincoln or some ****. and I was just starting to feel good about my car...

Remember, time = money to a cab driver, and it's not their car, so they don't care if they break it. Especially if they're empty, watch out. I've had those guys pass me on the shoulder at 80mph before.

You guys underestimate Cabs
Alot of them are ex-cop cars imported from NY/NJ
My friend here in VA, his dad owns a cab company
He imported 16 1997 crown Vics that WERE cop cars,
they still have the flood light on the right
I took a drive in it once
Man, V8, very, very fast
The way to tell apart is how many exhasts
Lincoln, crownvic, mercury,
the ones with two exhast pipes = V8
the ones with one exhast pipe = V6

LOL. That would be great. There has to be a taxi cab converted into a show car somewhere out there.
